Modern dance emphasises a strong technical foundation that enables a dancer to focus on the styalistic and performance aspects of dance. Children will learn sequences, leaps, splits, high kicks, isolations, combinations and amalgamations. Elements of Contemporary are within this with opportunities for self expression.
We follow the I.S.T.D modern syllabus and many children opt to take examinations however this isn't compulsory.
For a trial class children should wear clothes comfortable to move and bare feet. Suggestion leggings and a top.

This class is covered by a regular payment every month.
Subscription: YRAD runs regular classes during term time which is 36 out of 52 weeks in the year. Your payment plan covers the cost of all classes and is spread equally over 12 months of the year to make payment for our classes more affordable for parents. Therefore fees / subscriptions are still payable during school holiday months where no lessons are taking place as you will have paid less than the value of your classes during other months.
After research it has shown that many of our classes are longer in duration in comparison to other local dance schools giving you a great rate.
Subscriptions are requested on the 1st of every month. Customers who begin lessons before the 1st of the next month will be subject to a 'Covering Payment' which will be pro-rated and added to your first months bill.
All children also have to pay a £20.00 Registration Fee

If your child hasn't been before and you would like to take them along to try the class we offer a trial - it costs £14.00 for . This trial can start on any of the next 2 sessions.
